Principle and Technology of Internal Hydrostatic Forming:
The tubular blanks are placed in a die. The two ends of the blank are sealed and additional material is pumped in. High hydraulic pressure is created inside the blank, which causes the tube to be formed into the desired shape. This method is used for mass production of lightweight, complex-shaped hollow parts. Compared with hydraulic expansion technology, internal hydrostatic forming achieves higher hydraulic pressure and more stringent control of the internal pressure loading process. This can achieve greater material deformation and produce tubular parts with complex three-dimensional shapes.
